Undiscovered Gems: 2/4/17

It’s time to shine some light onto the talented, underground artists that deserve a lot more recognition. Each day, we get tons of submission emails and it’s really hard to keep up with everyone.

Now, we are going to select the best ones from each day and collect them into one post.

You can always submit new releases to: submissions.EVRYDY@gmail.com

*note: if you submit material, you will be automatically added to our email newsletter*

LA rapper Lee Black makes his debut to the EVRYDY pages with his tribute to the genre that made him. The MC from Inglewood goes through the genre, giving respect to all the greats that influenced him to rap. A nice song to ride out to while refreshing memories or teaching new listeners the history of the genre. Get familiar with this guy!

You don’t really think of Indianapolis when it comes to the music scene, but this guy has the potential to change that. Mula Kkhan is an alternative trap artist; a mix to the turn up and “in your feels” vibes. He just released his new project KKHANO to start off the new year.

This is my first time hearing Deon, and the man has serious skill. A very clean flow mixed with story-telling and good beat selection. I look forward to future releases from him.

A smooth record from Minnesota newcomer APEX featuring Mod Sun. He’s speaking on real topics; his style reminds me of a mix between Kid Cudi and Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda. Minnesota on the come up!
