*Starting this year, we’re going to assemble the best 7 songs that find their way to our ears over a course of a week. No genres… No politics… Mainstream or underground… Just the best music, period*

CHE – Complete [Prod. by Cardo x YeX]

R&B singer CHE and producer Cardo collaborated on an EP called ‘CHE GOT WINGS’ that has gotten great feedback so far. This has been a personal standout from the project, and you can peep the rest of the EP here!

Maajei Vu – Sheila Faye [Prod. by Maajei Vu]

The DIY artist from Milwaukee released an impressive new EP ‘Solara Ultima’ that really deserves a lot of attention. All songs are written and produced by Maajei Vu and he’s not signed to any labels; a true independent artist. This was our favorite song from the EP!

Tory Lanez – Slow Grind (ft. Jacquees) [Prod. by Tory Lanez & Play Picasso]

The Toronto artist started off 2017 by dropping two brand new mixtapes, one rap & one R&B. He grabbed the Cash Money’s Jacquees for this one, where they both sing over the Pretty Ricky sample. Peep this above and you can check his two new mixtapes here!

Jazz Cartier – Tempted [Prod. by T-Minus & Lantz]

Jazz Cartier starts the new year off right with this brand new single. ‘Tempted’ is produced by Jazz’s go-to producer Lantz and OVO’s T-Minus, who has produced for Drake, Lil Wayne & Kendrick Lamar.

The xx – Say Something Loving

Their album drops this upcoming week, so The xx got us prepped with this new single! It’s been over 4 years since their last album, but the hiatus really seemed to help their musical growth. Check back on the 13th when ‘I See You’ drops!

Ed Sheeran – Castle On The Hill

Ed Sheeran announced earlier this week that he had new music coming and he gives us not one, but TWO new singles from his upcoming album. They’re both great songs but we’re feeling ‘Castle On The Hill’ a LITTLE BIT more. Enjoy the lyric video above!

Lupe Fiasco – Wild Child (ft. Jake Torrey)

Last year was a great year for music overall, but for Lupe fans, it was disappointing. Nonetheless, Lupe is set to drop his ‘DROGAS Light’ album next month. Here’s the new upbeat single from the album that the radio needs to spin!
